That space

“There is a place in the heart that
will never be filled

a space

and even during the
best moments
and
the greatest times
times

we will know it

we will know it
more than
ever

there is a place in the heart that
will never be filled
and

we will wait
and
wait

in that space.”

(Charles Bukowski)

  1. I’m reading this wonderful text… and I know the feeling…
Beautiful and expressive self portrait, Kari!

And… I wish you a merry chrístmas my dear friend. 🙂

    • Thank you so much, dear Malin – for being there watching me…
…oh, yes, and I know that you know!! (…smiling at you…)
…Merry, merry Christmas for you and the ones you love!! (…smiling again…)

      • Thank you my dear friend. Thank you for being there for me too Kari. You are such a kind person. 🙂

    • …Jonathan, I am still, but I know that the words are true…Anais Nin wrote in her journals, and i am quoting from the heart – to live and to be loved it is not enough for the cure, or else i´ve been cured already!…
I think that is the reason why we create, that space…that will never be filled… Thank you!!

…and a Merry little Christmas for you too…

      • Kari, that is profound and not a little melancholy. I hope that love can help us make even better art, be better artists.
I will say both the Bukowski and Nin quotes seem to speak to a kind of Horror Vacui of the heart.

      • …was I very tragic yesterday? maybe…
I hope you are right Jonathan, I want to believe in that too… Thank you… (…smiling…)
